Convention Time

31 Mar 2014

There will be no meeting the first Thursday of April, but we will see you soon at our Easter party.

AAMOM President Shelli Jones and four other AAMOM members head to Tyler this month to represent Amarillo at the Texas Mothers of Multiples Convention.

Happy April!

It’s spring already? I really don’t know where the time goes. I hope all of you are well and haven’t blown away in this crazy wind.

First and foremost…NO MEETING on the usual first Thursday of April. Five of our members will be headed to TMOM Convention and it’s not that we think you couldn’t meet without us, we just didn’t want to miss out on any fun you might have!

Spend a fun evening with your family and be watching for convention posts on the AAMOM Facebook page.

We will however get the chance to spend time together in April at our Easter party on April 12. There are more details from the party committee in the newsletter. Remember, you are never too old for an Easter party, the Easter bunny and candy, so please come with or without your twins and enjoy the (hopefully) beautiful spring day. If you know a mom with multiples who is not a member, please invite them to come and enjoy the party.

A quick note about convention 2015 in Amarillo, we have officially changed hotels. Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn West. We have ended our relationship with the Ambassador, but according to them, we never had a relationship. I feel much more confident with our new hotel and the staff we will be working with. It is now “All hands on deck!” I do have chairmen in place for the convention committees, but we will need volunteers on every committee and even more important we will need you next April at convention. Please mark your calendars now for April 16–19, 2015 as we host Convention in Amarillo!

One final note: Your yearly AAMOM club dues are due. Your $25 yearly dues also include membership to the Texas Mothers of Multiples and National Mothers of Twins clubs.
